XL Club 2009-10

Bronwyn and Kenny recently took part in this years Prince’s Trust Residential. The students decided this year to try somewhere different and chose Seaview in Weymouth as their destination. Although this presented some problems we managed to get around these and a fantastic time was had by all. The residential was not as rigid as last year’s itinerary for challenges and activities but we all agreed that the putting up of Chris’s mammoth tent ticked all the boxes for team work!! We even managed to squeeze in the England game on a big screen at the camp. This turned out to be the only England game we won and created a fabulous atmosphere. It was a sad goodbye to Bronwyn and Kenny on the last morning and we wish them both all the best for the future.

The students recently had their folders of work moderated in Bristol, all six students entered gained a Bronze Award. The moderators were so impressed with the quality of work, that they have requested that all the folders be resubmitted next term for a Silver Award!! I’m very proud of all my XL students and their achievements, I look forward to my new XL group being as successful next year.
