Fun with Sums

MATHS BLOG

Keiran, Jasmine, Mick and Phil made good use of their maths skills today, creating a scale model of a conservatory using art straws.

The tasks included, measuring and scaling, problem solving, a bit of trigonometry and collaborative working.

Well done to all.

Anyone need the real thing?

Whole Centre Walk

We all went on a walk just before half-term, taking in the sites (and the mud) of Autumn in Sherborne. As usual, Phil took some lovely photos just a selection of which are here.

Quote of the week – bonus edition

We had a visitor to the Centre last week and on arriving wasn’t sure where he needed to go. One of our students helped him and he was kind enough to write us a note which said:

“Having visited in excess of 150 schools . . . I have very rarely been helped by a pupil in such a polite and co-operative manner. It was a pleasure to be treated in such a manner.”
