About Sherborne Learning Centre

Headteacher Victoria Rashleigh

Chair of Management Committee Nicki Edwards

We work with young people between the ages of 11 and 16 from North Dorset who are unable to attend school full-time. We teach in schools, in students’ homes, at our centre in Sherborne and across the internet.

We offer the National Curriculum, GCSEs, ELCs, Unit Awards and a very rich and varied non-academic curriculum.

We aim to help our students back into school or on to further education, work or training.

Our Ethos and Values

Everything we do is so that our students leave us

as Successful Learners

Ready to Live Life

and be Responsible Citizens.

We treat every student as an individual with their own wants, needs, gifts and talents.

Safeguarding

At Sherborne Learning Centre we are committed to safeguarding children.  Our first priority is your child’s welfare and we will usually discuss any concerns we might have about your child with you.  There might be rare occasions, however, when we have to provide information to or consult other agencies such as Children’s Services Social Care before we contact you.  Our responsibility to do so is determined by the Inter-Agency Safeguarding Procedures, which can be found on the Dorset Safeguarding Children Board website.

If you want to know more about these, or the school’s child protection procedures, please speak to Victoria Rashleigh or Darren Rowe
