Cycling

The Cycling scheme came of age today. Patrick, along with Mick, Phil and the wonder of Youtube, fixed up the brakes on the red mountain bike which finally made it roadworthy. It was a great mechanics session and we all got a lot from it, with that wonderful sense of achievement from fixing things. All very masculine.

The hard work was paid off with a great cycle around Yeovilton Naval Base. We picked up a Geocache at the Military Cemetary, watched some BAE Hawks (black, red arrows) doing landings and take offs, at seriously close range and clocked up an 11 mile cycle (see route above). Well done Michael and Patrick, we’ll all sleep well tonight.

That looks like a fab cycle ride! Might have to give it a go…… Oh, hold on a second, are there any hills, and how steep?? 🙂

I’m really impressed with how far you got and how much you managed to cram into one afternoon. Keep up the good work!!
