Art Trip

kappoor BlogA group of students and staff had their eyes truly opened today, on a trip to London to see the Anish Kapoor exhibition at the Royal Academy in Piccadilly. The artwork was beatiful beyond belief and everyone found something to rave about. Along with the gallery we also hit some of the touristy bits, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street, as well as picking up Monopoly names on Fleet Street and Northumberland Avenue.

Big thanks to Jane for organising the trip and thanks to Jay, Bronwyn, Emily, Esme, Emily and Natalie for making the day relaxed and fun.

Lets get back in that studio and take it to another level!

The Photo shows the group reflected in “Tall Tree and the Eye” (2009) in the courtyard of the Royal Academy

It was a brilliant day – thank you to Jane for organising it and to all the staff and students who made it such a good day. I’m not a fan of abstract art, but seeing this exhibition was a real pleasure and it has made me re-evaluate my views. Thank you.
